Current Skincare Favourites – March 2017!

Lately, I have been finding myself drifting away from full coverage foundation and concealer and preferring to wear medium to light concealer and ditching out on foundation all together. My skin has been consistently clear for sometime now so I don’t feel the need to cover it all day everyday. My skincare regime is definitely helping in keeping my skin clear, so I decided to share my favourite products with you! I love each and every one of these products so much! They do wonders for my skin. So, let’s jump into it!

*disclaimer: The majority of skincare I use is from The Body Shop. I work there and have access to the products all the time. I would like to reiterate that all these opinions are my own and I have not been asked to talk about these products from The Body Shop.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Daily Glow Cleansing Polish

I just started using this wash about a month ago and I am in awe in how good it works! It is infused with camu camu berries which are packed with vitamin C. Vitamin C is a brightening agent, so it makes your skin look renewed and glowy. This wash does not disappoint in that department! The morning after I first used it, I woke up with healthy, dewy looking skin. It has very gentle exfoliating beads that are soft enough to use on a daily basis. The aloe in it helps to calm the skin after exfoliation. I can’t get enough of this stuff!

Skinfood New Zealand Exfoliating Scrub

I’ve spoken about this product when I did a review on a gift set I bought during the summer. I love this brand. The products are all natural and smell divine. This exfoliator is made with walnut shells and is infused with lime and aloe vera. It smells so good I could eat it!! It exfoliates gently and leaves the skin smooth.

Bioderma Makeup Removing Micelle Solution

This is hands down the best makeup remover I have ever tried. I am able to remove a full face of makeup with one cotton round and this stuff. It is gentle and has never broken me out. It can be a bit expensive but a small bottle goes a long way. I usually only use it to take off a lot of makeup because I don’t want to waste it, but if you wanted to use it everyday you definitely could without having a reaction.

Oliology 100% Natural Rosehip Oil

This is a fairly standard rosehip oil, but I have been using it day and night to keep my skin moisturized. I add a few drops into my day cream each morning and it keeps my skin looking glowy all day. I apply it directly to my skin before using my night cream and I have also mixed it with my eye creams. Rosehip helps your skin to produce collagen, which makes your skin look bouncy and full. If you couldn’t tell, this oil is my saving grace for my dry skin.

Benzagel Acne Gel

This acne solution contains benzyl peroxide, which many people find to work better on blemishes than salicylic acid does. It certainly does for me. It dries to a paste and stays on all night while I’m sleeping. Each morning after using this, I wake up and whatever spot I have is noticeably diminished! A bonus is that it only costs around $5.

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask

This mask is great at removing black heads and purifying clogged pores. It stings slightly when first applied, which is the charcoal sinking deep into your pores. After it is removed, my skin feels so smooth. It is infused with green tea leaves and tea tree oil to combat blemishes. I am not the only one obsessed with this mask either! I have convinced so many friends to try it and everyone, regardless of their skin type, is in love with it. I would definitely recommend this mask!

The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream

I use this eye cream during the day because is light enough that my concealer doesn’t crease over top of it, but the wheat germ oil keeps my under eyes moisturized during harsh winter winds that cause my eyes to constantly water. I haven’t found an eye cream that works as well as this one does with concealers. I will be repurchasing this one time and time again.

PS: The book featured in my flat lay shot is called ‘The Little Book of Hygge: The Danish Way to Live Well.’ I recently purchased it because I love the idea of self help books and my visit to Denmark changed my life in so many ways. I am always in awe of how Danes conduct themselves, so I knew I would love this book. So far, it is really insightful. If you are trying to achieve hygge, (cosiness) in your day to day life, I recommend having a look at this book. All I can say is I have been lighting lots and lots of candles.
